Smartphone Mini Plan 5G

  • Data usage: Pay only for how much you use
  • Data amount is set for tethering and data sharing, or data communication with World Flat-rate Data (use of World Flat-rate Data incurs separate communication charges). Once you reach the upper limit, the maximum sending and receiving communication speed of tethering, data sharing, and World Flat-rate Data is reduced to 128 kbps (the communication speed restriction is removed on the first day of the following month).
  • Services that use high volumes of data transmission or long hours of connection, such as videos and cloud games, are available with data transmission speed limited to a range that does not affect general use (e.g. viewing videos in full HD quality) of an au smartphone (5G). The applicable services and the actual limits applied are determined with considerations given to possible impacts on KDDI networks. Such data transmissions will not be interrupted.
  • Customers who have used a large amount of data within a certain period of time are subject to data transmission speed limitations during traffic-heavy times of the day.

  • Changing the initial APN on the router may cause a data transmission restriction (over 7 GB monthly). Once you exceed a total monthly data usage of 7 GB with WiMAX 2+ and 4G LTE in high speed plus area mode, the transmission speed of WiMAX 2+ in high speed mode and the transmission speed of WiMAX 2+ and 4G LTE communications in general are limited to max. 128 kbps during that month.
