LTE Plan (S)

This rate plan is for the AQUOS K SHF31. This rate plan comes with a free call allowance of ¥1,100/month.

LTE Plan S must be subscribed in combination with LTE Double-Teigaku. (LTE Plan S cannot be used in combination with LTE Flat.) A subscription to LTE NET (¥300/month) is required for Internet connection.

Applicability of discounts and campaigns (in Japanese only)

  • [1]2-year contract is offered on the basis of a two-year contract. In the case of contract termination ,temporary suspension or discontinuation of 2-year contract during the contract period, a contract cancellation fee of ¥9,500 is incurred (excluding the renewal period) regardless of how many years you have subscribed to 2-year contract . The two-year contract period will be renewed automatically unless you request termination.

  • * If you change a 4G LTE model to another 4G LTE model and the change of a rate plan/Flat-rate Data service is applied from the date of the change, data communications charges on the date of the model change are calculated with the new Flat-rate Data service. For this reason, the amount of data you use may exceed the amount of free communication allowance due to the amount of data you used before the model change, possibly reaching the upper limit.

Universal service system

In accordance with the launch of the universal service system, subscribers of au phone services have been asked to pay a "universal service fee" from billing of January 2007.

Applicable period

  • If you apply when subscribing to a new contract or when changing your model, calculation on a prorated basis is applied from the date of the subscription or the change (including free call allowance). Changes in the contract take effect from the following month. If you cancel in the middle of a month, calculation on a prorated basis is not applied and the flat rate is incurred.

Note on calling charges

  • The length of free calls included in plans with free call allowance indicates the maximum time, and differ depending on actual usage circumstances.
  • When making a call to your contracted au phone, the caller will be charged based on calling charges specified by the caller's carrier.
  • au rate plans are not applicable to charges of international calls (KDDI/SoftBank/NTT Communications/ARTERIA Networks/Brastel/IPS). International calls are separately charged by international call carriers based calling charges specified by each carrier. The length of free calls included in plans with free call allowance indicates the maximum time, and differ depending on actual usage circumstances.
  • A call that continues beyond midnight will be charged for the day on which the call ends.
  • Free call allowance in this plan is not eligible for sharing and carry over.

Charges included in free call allowance

  • Domestic calling charges (domestic calling charges/charges for sending SMS (C-mail))
  • au International Calling Service calling charges (international calling charges/charges for sending SMS (C-mails))
  • au World Service calling and communication charges for overseas use (not eligible for free call allowance if Overseas Double-Teigaku is applied)

[Regulatione of 4G LTE/ 3G communication speed]

  • If the total amount of communications exceeds 2GB in a month, the maximum communication speed for sending and receiving until the end of that month will be 128 kbps. (The communication speed restriction will be removed on the first day of the following month.) If you apply for the Extra Option, the communication speed restriction does not apply.
  • To avoid network congestion, a limit will be placed on the communications speed for a whole day if you have used more than 6GB over the three most recent days (not including the day on which the restriction is applied).
  • Regardless of whether you are subscribed to a data (packet) flat-rate service, your line may be temporarily suspended if the cost of the packet communications you use becomes high.

Communication amount notification

  • You are notified that the amount of communications that you use exceeds 1.8GB or the upper limit (2GB) with SMS (C-mail).

[Optimization of communication]

LTE NET series packet communications may perform system optimization to improve the display speed of images.

  • * Optimization is the compression and conversion of images to the appropriate size for a smartphone screen. Compressed and converted data can not be restored.
  • * HTTPS communications and files with email attachments are not optimized.
  • * Customers who do not need communication optimization can contact the Customer Center (157) to have optimization cancelled.
