Disaster Voice Messaging Service is a service for delivering a voice message recorded with an au smartphone to your loved ones in the event of a large-scale disaster, letting them know your safety.
As this service uses packet communications, you can confirm the safety of your families, relatives, and friends even when voice communication networks are congested in the event of a large-scale disaster.

A voice message is stored even while a mobile phone is out of the service area, or turned off. Once a voice message is stored, it is repeatedly transmitted to a recipient (retry function).
KDDI provides a trial service, allowing users to try the Disaster Voice Messaging Service.

Proceed in the following order: On the menu screen of the "au Disaster Countermeasures" app → Choose "Send a voice message" from [Disaster Voice Messaging Service] and then [(1) Choose a recipient] (a recipient can be also selected from the address book) → [(2) Record a voice message to send]
au Android™ smartphones (Receive a message with the "au Disaster Countermeasures" app)
When the "au Disaster Countermeasures" app receives a voice message, you will be notified with a pop-up screen. You can hear the message by receiving (downloading) and playing it.
Other au mobile phones, iPhone and Windows® Phone IS12T
If a recipient uses an Android™ smartphone, iPhone, Windows® hone IS12T or au mobile phone, and the "au Disaster Countermeasures" app for the Disaster Voice Messaging Service is not activated, a message is sent through SMS (C-mail).
By clicking the link (http://sdp02.ezweb.ne.jp/~) in the SMS (C-mail) message, a recipient can receive (download) and play a voice message.
To customers who updated the OS on their ISW12HT, SOL21, PTL21, SHT21, or SHL21
After updating the OS on the HTC EVO 3D ISW12HT, Xperia VL SOL21, VEGA PTL21, AQUOS PAD SHT21, and AQUOS PHONE SERIE SHL21, a message may appear saying that au Disaster Countermeasures has been terminated due to an error when starting the device or app, and the app may not operate properly.
To resolve this problem, please update to the latest au Disaster Countermeasures app.
