I would like to change the name of the contract holder for my au mobile phone to a family member’s name

The procedure for changing the name (transfer) to your family member can be done at an au Style/au shop. There is no charge for transfers within the family.

Important notes

  • In the transfer procedure, some services may not be carried over.
  • For paid content that the transferor has applied for or contracted for, the transferor must cancel the contract himself/herself.
  • If the device payment is being made in installments, the transfer will be possible once the lump-sum settlement for the remaining amount has been completed.
    • For transfers within family members, the application for the lump-sum payment is unnecessary.

  • If you are consolidating your au ID, the au ID will be automatically separated, and a new au ID will be issued to the transferee.
  • The au PAY card, au PAY prepaid card, and au PAY balance currently used by the transferor will not be transferred.
  • The usage limit of au Easy Payment (Combined with the mobile monthly bill) of the transferor will not be transferred.
  • All of the indicated amounts exclude tax unless otherwise specified.
