I would like to change (transfer) my au mobile phone contract to a family member's name
The transfer procedure is available at the shop.
- It is required to visit the shop with both current contract holder (transferor) and the transfer receiving person (transferee).

To check required items for the procedure, tap on "Transfer within the family" [家族間譲渡] and it will be displayed.

If the transferor cannot visit the store, please bring the transferor's power of attorney and identity verification document (copy allowed).

If the transferee has a different surname or address from the transferor, a family relationship certificate is also required.
- Please be aware that it may not be possible to have some services transferred.
- There is no handling fee for transfers within the family.

If the device payment is being made in installments, the transfer will be possible once the lump-sum settlement for the remaining amount has been completed.
- In the case of transfers between family members, it is not required to apply for lump-sum settlement.

For your reference
- If you have merged your au IDs, they will be automatically separated and a new au ID will be issued to the transferee.
- The au PAY card, au PAY prepaid card, and au PAY balance currently used by the transferor will not be transferred.
- The usage limit of au Easy Payment of the transferor will not be transferred.
- For paid content that the transferor has applied for or contracted for, the transferor must cancel the contract himself/herself.
