You can unsubscribe your Repair and Delivery Service/Repair and Delivery Service with Cloud/Repair and Delivery Service Wide with Cloud from the Device Protection Service cancellation screen of the My au. 

Please note that once you cancel, you cannot rejoin until the next time you purchase a new eligible device.

  • If you unsubscribe in the middle of the month, the monthly fee will be calculated on a daily basis.

  • If you proceed after 20:00 on the last day of the month, it will be considered as a procedure on the 1st of the following month, and a fee for one day will be charged.

For povo1.0 users and UQ customers (tap here)

  • Customers who purchased the device at au: you can cancel it by following the steps below. Please proceed from step 1.

  • Customers who purchased the device outside of au: it is not possible to cancel it by following the steps below. Please contact au Style/au shop or our customer center.

How to unsubscribe from My au

  • The screen will be different at step 6 for customers who do not have au contract and for povo2.0 users.

    Log in to the Device Protection Service cancellation screen using the au ID that you have subscribed to Repair and Delivery Service/Repair and Delivery Service with Cloud.

    Proceed to step 10.

    Alternatively, search for My au in a search engine and tap on My au login [My auログイン] from the results.

    In either case, proceed to step 2.

    Tap on "Web Login" [Webでログイン].

    Enter your au ID and tap on "Next" [次へ]. If you are already logged in with your au ID (if this screen is not displayed), proceed to step 6.

    Enter your password and tap on "Login" [ログイン].

    If this screen is displayed, tap on "Here" [こちら].

    If this screen is not displayed, proceed to step 6.

    Tap on "Smartphone/Mobile Phone" [スマートフォン・携帯電話].

    Customers with line contracts other than au or povo2.0 users (tap here)

    Scroll the screen from bottom to top and tap on "Device Protection Service" [端末補償サービス]

    Proceed to step 10.

    Customers who have cancelled au (tap here)

    Tap on "Device Protection Service Cancellation" [端末補償サービス解約の手続き].

    Proceed to step 10.

    Tap on "Contract Details/Procedure" [ご契約内容/手続き].

    Tap on "Contract Information" [ご契約情報].

    Scroll the screen from bottom to top, confirm the service to be cancelled in the "Device Protection Service"[端末補償サービス] section, and tap on "Change" [変更].

    On the "Device Protection Service Cancellation"[端末補償サービス解約] screen, tap on "Cancel" [解約する].

    If the au ID login screen is displayed (tap here)

    Enter the characters in the image and tap on "Next" [次へ].

    • If this screen is not displayed, proceed to the next screen.

    Enter your au ID password and tap on "Login" [ログイン].

    Tap on "Do not change au ID (agree to terms)" [au IDを変更しない (規約に同意)].

    • If this screen is not displayed, proceed here.

    Tap on "Login without changing au ID" [au IDを変更せずにログインする].

    Proceed here.

    If there are multiple services under the same au ID (tap here)

    Tap on the red frame.

    Tap to select the contract (au mobile phone number) with the "Device Protection Service" [端末補償サービス] subscription.

    Tap on "Select" [選択].

    Proceed here.

    Confirm the "Important Notes" [ご注意事項] and tap on "Agree and proceed" [同意して次に進む].

    Also, confirm this "Important Notes" [ご注意事項] and tap on "Next" [次へ].

    Choose how to confirm the contract details from "E-mail" [Eメール] or My au/My UQ mobile.

    (If you choose E-mail, enter your email address.)

    Tap on "Apply with this information" [この内容で申し込む].

    The cancellation procedure has been completed.

    • If you apply after 20:00, it will be reflected after 9:00 of the next day.
  • All of the indicated amounts exclude tax unless otherwise specified.
