【au Email Portability】I would like to reconfigure my email app

If you are using the au Email Portability service, you can reconfigure the email app from My Page.

Please see below for detailed instructions.

Important note

Steps

    • If you are using the au Email Portability service with the au Email App on your Android smartphone, launch the au Email App → tap the "Menu icon" (three lines) in the upper left corner of the screen → tap on "au Email Portability" [auメール持ち運び] → proceed to Step 2.

    Tap on "Email app settings" [メールアプリの設定].

    If you are using an iPhone, proceed to Step ③. If you are using Android or Gmail, please proceed to Step ④.

    For iPhone/iPad

    Tap the "iPhone Mail App" [iPhone 標準メールアプリ].

    For Android

    Tap the "Android au Email App" [Android auメールアプリ].

    For Gmail

    Tap on "Check the ID and password required for email settings" [メール設定に必要なID・パスワードを確認する].

For your reference

  • Check the following for the au Email Portability service.
  • The au ID of those who have migrated from au to UQ mobile/povo (number migration) or switched to another carrier (MNP) after December 2nd, 2021 and are eligible for the au Email Portability service, will be the same as the au ID they used during the au contract.
  • For those who have cancelled the au contract without migrating to UQ mobile/povo (number migration) or switching to another company (MNP), if the au ID was the au phone number, the au ID after cancellation will change to "au ID+_(half-width underscore)" + "date of cancellation (8 digits in western calendar)". If you were using an au ID other than the phone number, it will be the same as the au ID at the time of the contract.

    For example: If you cancelled on April 1st, 2021

    au ID before cancellation: 080XXXXXXXX

    au ID after cancellation: 080XXXXXXXX_20210401
