I would like to know how to report spam emails received in my au email address (Android)

You can report spam emails using the "Spam Email Reporting Function" [迷惑メール報告機能] in the au Email app. 

If you are receiving a huge number of spam emails from the same domain, we recommend using the spam filter's blocklist setting.

For details, please refer to the information below. 

Important notes

  • We do not accept reports regarding incorrect or defamatory emails.
  • We cannot respond to individual emails you report.
  • We are unable to handle forwarded information from devices other than smartphones or tablets, such as PCs.
  • Please note that the cost of sending emails when providing information will be borne by the customer.

The information that you are requested to provide

In order to strengthen regulations on spam e-mails, KDDI requests your cooperation in providing information about spam emails.

Please provide information about unwanted or distasteful emails sent from our domains (such as @au.com, @△△.au.com, @ezweb.ne.jp, @△△.ezweb.ne.jp) and emails sent to our domains.

Regarding the use of provided information

  • The information you provide will be used to strengthen the "Automatic Spam Control" [迷惑メールおまかせ規制] feature of au's spam filter.
  • The information you provide may be provided to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and other relevant organizations in order to implement measures required by law.

    Please also note that in order to share information for the purpose of effective countermeasures, we may disclose your information to third parties such as other mobile phone/PHS carriers and companies affiliated with spam filtering.

How to report

Steps

    Launch the "au Email App".

  • 2

    Tap on "Inbox" [受信].

  • 3

    Tap on the "drop-down icon" [プルダウンアイコン] on the email you want to report as spam.

  • 4

    Tap on "Report Spam" [迷惑メール報告].

  • 5

    Tap on [OK].

  • 6

    When the message "Reported as Spam" [迷惑メールとして報告しました。]appears, the report and deletion are complete.

    The email will be deleted immediately.

  • All of the indicated amounts exclude tax unless otherwise specified.
