I would like to reset my au ID password (I do not know my current au ID password)

Please reset your au ID password according to the service you are using. 

For details, please refer to the information below. 

Important notes

  • If you need to reset the au ID password for au/UQ mobile smartphones, tablets, or iPads, please turn off Wi-Fi and perform the operation from the mobile phone linked to your au ID.
  • You cannot reset it from a PC.

For customers who have contracted au/UQ mobile smartphones and tablets

Please see the "Steps" [手順] at the bottom of this page and reset your au ID password.

For customers who have contracted fixed-line communication services

For information about the initial password and how to reset it, please check the link below. (For those who have not merged their au ID with their smartphone.)

    Access the au ID password reset page.

    • You can also reset your password from "Click here if you forgot the password" [パスワードを忘れた方はこちら] while logged in.

    Enter your au ID and tap on "Next" [次へ].

    Enter your PIN and tap on "Next" [次へ].

    Enter your new password and tap on "Agree to the terms of service and reset" [利用規約に同意して再設定する].

    • You can use half-width alphanumeric characters and symbols for your password. Please set a password that contains 8 to 32 characters and includes both half-width alphanumeric characters.
    • If the confirmation code input screen appears, enter the 6-digit confirmation code you received and tap on "Next" [次へ].

    When the message "Password reset completed" [パスワードの再設定が完了しました] appears, the process is done.

    • Please make sure to keep a note of the reset password.
