【au PAY】How to pay at stores by displaying a code
At stores displaying the au PAY or Rakuten Pay (app payment/limited stores) logo, inform the cashier that you wish to pay with "au PAY" and show the payment code screen to complete the payment.
Steps

Launch the [au PAY app] and log in with your au ID.

Present the payment barcode/QR code screen to the store staff.

The displayed au PAY balance is the amount available for payment.
- To use a coupon, tap on "Coupon" [クーポン], then tap on "Get" [獲得] for the coupon you wish to use.

Scan the payment code at the register, and the payment is complete.

- The payment code is valid for 5 minutes.
- The maximum limit per transaction is 300,000 yen (including tax).
Payment via QR code scanning
【au PAY】How to pay at stores using a QR code
At stores displaying the au PAY or Rakuten Pay (app payment/limited stores) logo, inform the cashier that you wish to pay with "au PAY". Then, use the code scanning screen in the app to scan the store’s payment code and complete your payment.
Steps

Launch the [au PAY app].

Tap on "Scan Code" [コード読取].
- To use a coupon, tap on "Coupon" [クーポン], then tap on "Get" [獲得] for the coupon you wish to use.

When requested to access the camera, tap on [OK].
- If this screen does not appear, proceed to the next step.

Inform the cashier that you will pay with "au PAY" and scan the barcode or QR code presented by the store using your camera.

Enter the payment amount and tap on "Next" [次へ].

Confirm the "Payment amount (including tax)" [お支払い金額（税込）] together with the store staff. Then, swipe the "＞" to the right to complete the payment.

Tap on "Coupon" [クーポン].

Select the coupon you want to apply.

Tap on "Use selected coupon" [選択したクーポンを使用する].

Confirm the "Selected coupon name" [適用したいクーポン名] and "Payment amount (including tax)" [お支払い金額（税込）] together with the store staff, then swipe the "＞" to the right to complete the payment with the selected coupon.
