【au PAY/au PAY Prepaid Card】What is au PAY balance?
The au PAY balance is the amount that can be used for payments made through services such as au PAY (code payment), au PAY prepaid card, and au Easy Payment (au PAY balance payment).
Important notes
- In principle, it can be used for payments of 1 yen (including tax). For au PAY prepaid cards (physical cards/virtual cards/Apple Pay), it can be used for payments of 11 yen (including tax) or more.
- Regardless of the payment method, the payment will be made in one installment. We do not support installment payments.
About au PAY balance
- The balance is the same for each payment method.

You can top up your balance with cash, credit card, etc. Please see below for specific charging methods.
- Generally, there is no expiration date. However, the au PAY balance of customers who canceled their au contract before August 18, 2019 and customers who transferred their au contract to another family member will expire after the expiration date of the au PAY prepaid card. Please use it within the expiration date.
