I would like to change my monthly payment method to direct debit from bank account/register a different bank account

You can make changes via My au (Web).

Please see below for detailed instructions.

Important notes

  • You can register an account in the name of the contract holder or in the name of the contract holder's family member (within the second degree of kinship). Please note that some financial institutions only allow accounts in the contract holder's name to be registered.

    When registering a bank account under a family member's name, please obtain the account holder's consent and complete the procedure in the presence of the account holder.

  • If you are using au Hikari and are billed by an affiliated provider, please contact your provider directly.

    Select the "Billing Code" [ご請求コード] for the procedure.

    Tap on "Direct debit from bank account" [口座振替].

    Please review the timing of the change and important notes, then tap on "Next" [次へ].

    Tap on "Agree and Proceed" [同意して手続きに進む].

  • 6

    Select either "Bank" [銀行] or "Shinkin Bank/Credit Union/Labor Bank/Agricultural Cooperative" [信用金庫/信用組合/労働金庫/農業協同組合].

    • If your desired financial institution is not listed under "Available financial institutions" [ご利用可能な金融機関], tap on "Send application form" [申込書を送付する] and follow the instructions provided.

    Tap on "Next" [次へ].

    If you would like to receive a confirmation email, select "Notify me by email" [Eメールでお知らせ] and enter your email address. If you do not wish to receive a notification, select "No notification required" [お知らせ不要].

    Tap on "Next" [次へ].

    Tap on "Send" [送信].

    Tap on the name of the financial institution you will use.

    This time, we will use au Jibun Bank as an example.

    Enter the account holder’s name and tap on "Next" [次へ].

    Tap on "To Financial Institution" [金融機関へ].

    Thereafter, you will be directed to each financial institution's website, so please follow the on-screen instructions to complete the procedure.
