When using the World Data Flat, the transmission speed for sending and receiving data is reduced if the amount for sending and receiving data exceeds 3GB within 24 hours from the start of use of the World Data Flat, or if the monthly data allowance is exceeded.

If you are using au Unlimited Data Overseas, your data transmission speed may be restricted if a large amount of data is used within a certain period (24 hours). For more details, please click here (in Japanese only)

If the amount of data transmission exceeds 3GB within a certain period (24 hours) from the start of use, the data transmission speed will be limited to a maximum of 1 Mbps until the start of the next 24 hours.
This restriction can only be lifted over time and cannot be lifted by purchasing a data charge.
The overseas usage app will display "It will be reset in 〇 hours and 〇 minutes" [あと〇時間〇分でリセットされます] allowing you to check the time when the restriction will be lifted.
If you exceed the monthly data allowance of your contract, the transmission speed will be reduced to 128Kbps.
Customers using au mobile phones can restore the transmission speed by charging data.
When using overseas, if you exceed the monthly data allowance of your contract, the transmission speed will be reduced to 128Kbps, regardless of the plan you are subscribed to.
If you are using Data Saver mode, the sending and receiving speed will be up to 128Kbps when used overseas.
