What is the difference between World Data Flat and Double World Data Flat?

Usage Fee
With World Data Flat, you can use it without any data usage limit by paying a flat rate per day (24 hours)

Usage fee: 490 yen or 690 yen with Reservation Discount applied or 980 yen without reservation

The usage fee for Double World Data Flat varies depending on the amount of data used.

Usage fee: 1.6 yen/KB
- Overseas data transmission amount: 1,980 yen per day for up to about 24.4MB or 2,980 yen per day no matter how much you use.
How to Use
You can use au Unlimited Data Overseas by making a reservation in advance when in Japan using the "overseas usage app" [海外スマホ利用], or by pressing the "Start usage" [利用開始] button from the "overseas usage app" [海外スマホ利用] or browser when overseas.

If your device setting to data roaming is "ON", Double World Data Flat will start automatically when you are overseas. There is no reservation service.
How to count usage time
au Unlimited Data Overseas counts as 24 hours (1 day) and 48 hours (2 days) from the time you start using it, regardless of the country you are in.
For Double World Data Flat, a day starts from 0:00 (Japan time) and ends at 23:59 (Japan time).
