[Android] I forgot my au ID or password

If you forget your au ID password and are unable to log in, you must first set a new password.
*This operation can be performed on 3G, LTE networks.

1Select “au ID 設定 (Set up an au ID)” from your application list.

alertPlease take note of the following.
Models released before March 2012 do not have applications, so instead select “設定 (Settings)” → “au one ID 設定 (Set up an au one ID)”.

2When “パケット通信料が発生します。接続しますか? (Packet communication fee will be charged. Do you want to connect your line?)” is displayed, tap “OK”.
*This screen may not be displayed, depending on model

3The au ID in your au device is displayed.
If you have forgotten your au ID password, select “パスワードを忘れてしまった (I forgot my password )” “パスワードを再設定する (Reset my password)” and follow steps 4 and 5 below.

4Enter your “暗証番号 (PIN number)”, and tap “OK”.

alertPlease take note of the following.
Your PIN (Personal Identification Number) is a 4-digit number chosen when you signed your contract. If you do not know your PIN, please check a copy of the application from when you signed your contract.

5Enter your new au ID password and tap “設定 (Settings)”. (*Your password must be 8 to 32 one-byte letters and numbers in length)

alertPlease take note of the following.
An error will occur if you enter a series of digits in the format of a date or enter the same number several times in a row.

    Your password must be 8 to 32 one-byte letters and numbers in length, limited to the following characters.
  • Available letters → a to z, A to Z
  • Available numbers → 0 to 9
  • Available symbols → “~”, “"”, “!”, “@”, “#”, “$”, “%”, “^”, “&”, “*”,“(“, “)”, “-“, “_”, “+”, “=”
*However, you may be unable to use “&” (ampersand) or “=”(equal sign) in your au ID password on some models.
*You must use both one-byte letters and numbers.
*Symbols are not required, but using symbols in combination with letters and numbers will make your password stronger.

6Tap “X (× Finish)” when you are finished.
