<About application>

  • * The discount applies to up to 10 au mobile phone lines (including tablets and computers (the same applies below)) per line of fixed-line communications service (including the Speed Wi-Fi HOME router (the same applies below)). The discount cannot be applied more than once to the same au mobile phone.
  • * A contractor of an au mobile phone can apply if they have the same family name and address as the contractor of the fixed-line communications service.
  • * Family members age 50 and older can apply even if their address is different from the address used for the fixed-line communications service contract (Internet + phone, Internet + TV, or TV + phone). * If family names are different or the number of au mobile phones exceeds five, proof is required showing that they are family members living at the same address (For family members over 50 years of age living at different addresses, proof is required showing that they are family members only).
  • * Beginning June 1, 2017, the au Smart Value discount can be applied with a Wi-Fi router contract, even within the eligible fixed-line communications service area.

<About application of discounts>

  • * The discount is applied from the month following the month in which an application for au Smart Value is made.
  • * If you are subscribed to Smartphone Set Discount and you apply to au Smart Value, the discount automatically changes to au Smart Value. However, if you terminate Smartphone Set Discount before au Smart Value is applied, Smartphone Set Discount is deemed to terminate as of the end of the preceding month and au Smart Value is applied from the month following the month in which the application is made.
  • * When the discount is applied for up to 2 years (¥476/month), the month in which the au Smart Value discount is applied to each eligible au mobile phone (including tablets and PCs) for the first time is counted as the first month.
  • * The discount applies to the total amount of the basic charges (excluding LTE plans), domestic calling charges, domestic communication charges, option charges (excluding Repair and Delivery Support (previously the Keitai Guarantee Service Plus and Keitai Guarantee Service Plus LTE)) after all other discounts are applied (including the Monthly Discount). If the total amount eligible for the discount falls below the amount of the discount, the total amount eligible for the discount shall be set as the upper limit of the discount.
  • * The discount amount is determined by the au mobile phone data (packet) flat-rate service to which you are subscribed as of the end of the month. If the conditions are not met at the end of a month, the discount is not applied for that month.
  • * In the case of cancellation (suspension, transfer) of an au mobile phone (including tablets and PCs), the discount is terminated at the end of the month of cancellation (suspension), or deemed to terminate at the end of the month preceding the month of transfer.
  • * The discount is applied only for customers who are currently using or are currently having their application processed for a fixed-line communications service.
  • * If a subscriber cancels a fixed-line communications service during the discount period, the discount is deemed to terminate at the end of the month preceding the month of cancellation.
  • * If a fixed-line communications service (Internet + phone, Internet + TV, or TV + phone) is not launched after six months have passed since the application for au Smart Value, the discount is gradually suspended. The discount will be applied again once the fixed-line communications service is launched.
  • * If a fixed-line communications service is cancelled by the service provider, the discount continues to be applied for three months starting from the month following the month of cancellation. If the service is cancelled by the customer, the discount is deemed to terminate at the end of the month preceding the month in which such a request is made. The discounts applied in the past are charged by being added to usage charges of au mobile phones (including tablets and PCs).
  • * This service may not be available in combination with other campaigns offered by KDDI.
  • * A universal service charge is separately incurred.
