Model changes

To change from an au mobile phone to another au mobile phone, the following items will be required.

1The au mobile phone (including au IC card) currently in use

2Your name seal

  • You can also conclude the contract with your signature.

3Identification documents

("Resident Card" or "health insurancecard")

  • Always bring the original documents.

4Initial cost

Following bills will be added to the first month's bill

  • New contracts and model changes (or adding units) Contract processing fee (¥3,000)
  • When switching between a 4G LTE (compatible with au VoLTE) device,
    4G LTE (excluding au VoLTE-compatible device) device,
    4G LTE tablet (released after 2015), 4G LTE tablet (released before 2014),
    3G device and Wi-Fi router (or adding units) Contract processing fee (¥2,000)

  • au may require a deposit (Amount set by us which is ¥100,000 or less per contract / no interest / tax-exempt). In this case, installment payments cannot be used to purchase an au mobile phone.
